Handing over many rare animals to Vu Quang National Park

(Baohatinh.vn) - Vu Quang National Park (Ha Tinh) has just received 2 civets, 1 python, and 1 mute turtle, all belonging to group IIB, handed over by local people to release into the natural environment.

On the morning of September 15, Ky Anh Forest Protection Department coordinated with Ky Van commune authorities and Mr. Dang Van Lanh's family (residing in Dai Dong village, Ky Van commune) to organize the handover of 2 civets and 1 mute turtle to Vu Quang National Park.

Mr. Dang Van Lanh handed over the individuals to the authorities.

It is known that 2 civets weighing 3kg and a mute turtle weighing 0.5kg were discovered by Mr. Lanh during the process of exploiting acacia in the area.

The 0.5kg mute turtle will be released into the wild.

Also this morning, Ky Anh Forest Protection Department coordinated with Ky Anh commune authorities and the family of Mr. Tran Van Hiep (residing in Dong Tru Tay village, Ky Anh commune) to organize the handover of a python to Vu Quang National Park.

Mr. Tran Van Hiep handed over a 10kg python to the authorities.

The python weighed 10kg and was discovered by Mr. Hiep while he was gardening in Ky Xuan commune.

2 civets, 1 python, 1 mute turtle are all in group IIB, the list of endangered and rare wild animals. After receiving them, Ky Anh Forest Protection Department handed over the animals to Vu Quang National Park for further monitoring and care before releasing them back into the wild.
