The Economic - Budget Committee reviews the draft resolution to supplement the list of works and projects to change land use purposes.

On the morning of July 5, in Ha Long City, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review reports and draft resolutions submitted to the 19th session (regular session in mid-2024) of the 14th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, chaired by Ms. Bui Thi Huong, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee. Attending the meeting was Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviewed the draft Resolution approving the list of works and projects to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land in the second phase of 2024 (supplemented).

Comrade Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Accordingly, based on the need to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land in localities; the results of comparing the conformity with the planning and land use plan, the proposal of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Provincial People's Committee will submit to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval of 28 works and projects in Co To district, Dam Ha, Cam Pha city, Ha Long city, Dong Trieu town to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land to implement works and projects. The change of purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land must comply with current regulations, meet the criteria approved by competent authorities, and be consistent with the planning of other sectors and fields.

Based on the study of the submission, draft resolution, legal documents and explanatory comments of the drafting agency, the Economic - Budget Committee, the Provincial People's Council agrees with the content of the submission, draft resolution to approve the list of works and projects to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and protective forest land in the second phase of 2024 (supplemented). The resolution will be submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration at the upcoming 19th session.
