(PLVN) - On the afternoon of June 17, at the Hall of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Mr. Le Van Su - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Ms. Nguyen Hong Tham - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department chaired the press conference, press briefing for the second quarter of 2025 and orientation of propaganda work in the coming time.

At the press conference, representatives of leaders of Departments and branches informed many key contents related to the socio -economic development situation and Party building work in the first 6 months of the year.

Specifically, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province summarized the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); the Department of Agriculture and Environment reported the results of the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and the plan to organize the summary conference; the Department of Home Affairs of the province provided information on the progress of reorganizing the apparatus, streamlining administrative units at all levels and building a two-level local government model in the direction of administrative reform.

Also at the press conference, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province informed about the tasks and directions for the last 6 months of 2025. Ca Mau will focus on drastically implementing key tasks to achieve the target of GRDP growth of 8% or more. Along with that, the province will continue to effectively implement projects on fishery - agriculture - forestry development; promote administrative reform; strictly manage budget collection; accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, compensation and site clearance.

In particular, Ca Mau will strengthen the implementation of Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development, encouraging innovation, applying science and technology and promoting digital transformation. In addition, social security policies, job creation and sustainable poverty reduction...

Representatives of press agencies highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and proactive coordination of departments and branches of Ca Mau province in providing and responding to press information in recent times. However, to meet the requirements of propaganda in the new situation, the press requested that the authorities continue to increase the provision of official, complete and oriented information, especially on issues of public concern, thereby contributing to stabilizing the ideological situation and improving communication effectiveness.
