For example, in the area in front of Da Nang Hospital (Quang Trung Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District), according to Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoang, a resident living near the area, day and night, the area in front of the hospital gate is always the place to park motorbikes of patients' relatives, this affects the urban beauty and disrupts traffic safety. Sometimes, motorbikes are even parked in a mess, spilling onto the road, causing traffic congestion in the area.
Faced with the above situation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Huyen, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Thach Thang Ward, said that in order to handle the situation of motorbikes being parked in the wrong place in front of the gate of Da Nang Hospital, in the past, the People's Committee of the Ward coordinated with the Ward Police to focus on handling, but the situation did not improve much due to people's awareness of "parking wherever is convenient".
When the police force is present, people strictly comply, but when they are absent, they recur. To ensure safety for the area, the ward's Urban Regulation Inspection Team will coordinate with the ward police to inspect. If any cases of illegal parking of motorbikes or cars are discovered, they will be strictly handled according to the law.
Responding to reporters about this situation, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Duc Thang, Chief of Thach Thang Ward Police, said that in order to maintain order and traffic safety in the area in front of Da Nang Hospital, the working group regularly inspects and handles cases; at the same time, they will strictly confiscate motorbikes in cases of illegal parking, causing obstruction to traffic participants.
Meanwhile, the leader of Hai Chau District People's Committee said that the District People's Committee has placed signs prohibiting parking on the sidewalk, in front of the hospital gate, but the situation still recurs. Therefore, to rectify the situation, the District People's Committee proposed that the City Traffic Safety Committee study and consider the proposal to deploy a one-way street on Quang Trung Street to reduce traffic congestion.
A similar situation also occurred at Cam Le District Medical Center (Nguyen Nhan Street, Hoa Tho Dong Ward). Nguyen Nhan Street has a lot of traffic, but people parked their motorbikes in front of the gate of Cam Le District Medical Center, causing chaos and traffic disorder.
Ms. Dao Thi Lan Huong (Hoa Tho Dong ward) said that in order to restore the beauty of the area in front of the hospital gate and at the same time ensure smooth traffic, especially ambulances entering and leaving the hospital, local authorities need to step up propaganda work, arrange patrol and control forces, promptly detect and handle according to regulations.
To ensure traffic safety in front of the hospital gate, the representative of the District Medical Center said that on April 18, the center sent a document requesting the People's Committee of Hoa Tho Dong Ward and the Ward Police to coordinate and support the placement of signs and road markings for people to park motorbikes and cars in the right places, and at the same time, send forces to regularly check, remind and propagate people not to park motorbikes in front of the hospital gate, on the sidewalk, or on the road.
Sharing about the solution, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Thuong, Head of the Traffic Police Department (City Police) said that in order to restore the open roads and sidewalks, and build a civilized urban lifestyle, in the coming time, the traffic police force and the City Police will direct the ward police to coordinate with local authorities to strengthen monitoring, inspection, and timely handling of cases of motorbikes being left in disorder, encroaching on sidewalks and roads, affecting traffic order and safety in the city.
