DTO - From 2021 to present, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) has coordinated with provincial departments, branches, units and localities to consolidate and expand the Don Ca Tai Tu (ĐCTT) and Ho Dong Thap Clubs; organize festivals, competitions and bring ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap arts to perform at events and festivals. Thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting the artistic values of ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap.
Talented artists in the province interact and perform amateur music and Dong Thap folk songs at the 204th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Do Cong Tuong's death.
Implementing Plan No. 125 dated April 14, 2021 of the Provincial People's Committee on preserving and promoting the value of the national intangible cultural heritage of ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap in the period of 2021 - 2025 in the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with departments, branches, units and localities to promote propaganda work to raise awareness, role and responsibility of the community and the political system for the preservation of intangible cultural heritage of ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap. Especially for the young generation, gradually build a mass movement to participate in protecting the heritage, promoting economic, cultural and social development in the province. At the same time, organize seminars and talks on ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap attracting a large number of union members, youth and students to participate; open training classes on ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap in the community. In the period of 2021 - 2024, 45 training courses were organized, attracting over 2,320 people who are members of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp clubs, cadres, civil servants, public employees of communes, wards, towns, and tour guides at tourist areas and spots in the province. At the training courses, lecturers and tour guides with experience in the fields of ĐCTT, folk singing, and Hò Đồng Tháp taught theory and guided practice of basic skills in folk singing, ĐCTT, and Hò Đồng Tháp.
In addition, localities in the province are interested in supporting and improving the quality of activities of the ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp clubs. The province currently has 312 ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp clubs in hamlets, villages, communes, wards, districts and cities, with more than 5,048 members who are ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp artists. The clubs are not only a meeting place connecting art lovers to participate in activities, but also a place for amateurs to exchange, practice and improve their singing and ho skills. With a passion for art, amateurs who are members of the clubs have enthusiastically taught the art to the younger generation, contributing to training a team to inherit this art. Along with that, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities maintain the organization of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp festivals from district to provincial levels. Through the festival, it has created a playground for talented artists in the province to meet, exchange, and demonstrate their musical and singing talents, thereby discovering, nurturing, and training promising young artists, contributing to honoring and promoting the value of the art forms of ĐCTT and Ho Dong Thap.
In recent years, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities have brought the art of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp to perform at events, ceremonies and anniversaries of the province every year such as: The death anniversary of Mr. Phó bảng Nguyễn Sinh Sắc, the death anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Đỗ Công Tường, the festival of Bà Chúa Xuyên Gò Tháp. ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp are also performed at rural markets, tourist areas and spots in the province... Through their songs and voices, the artists not only bring spiritual joy to the people but also contribute to promoting ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp arts, the image of the homeland and people of Đồng Tháp to the people and tourists.
With many activities of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other sectors and localities, the art of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp has been gradually preserved to live forever with time. Currently, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with relevant sectors, units and localities to continue to propagate to the people about the meaning and value of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp art; regularly organize seminars inviting experts to share with students about ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp art, contributing to arousing their passion and love for art. At the same time, strengthen the organization of training classes, teaching ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp suitable for each locality; maintain the organization of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp festivals every year to discover and nurture young artists; strengthen the activities of ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp clubs. In addition, integrate ĐCTT and Hò Đồng Tháp arts into art programs on holidays, anniversaries and at tourist areas, spots and rural markets to promote the unique features of the art to the people and tourists.
