At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 18 Encouragement prizes to authors and groups of authors with excellent works. The group of authors of Hung Yen Newspaper and Radio - Television was honored to win the B prize in the radio category with the work “Lessons from prime land projects turned into wasteland” by authors: Bui Hai Dang, Tang Thanh Son, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Le Ngoc Tan, Bui Dang Manh, Duong Huu Truong.

According to the Final Jury, the 5th National Press Award for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity attracted 1,110 works in 4 categories: print, electronic, radio and television, vividly reflecting the Party and State's fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity with the motto "no forbidden zones, no exceptions". Many works demonstrate the spirit of dedication, courage and social responsibility of journalists.
According to the assessment of the Final Jury, after 2 years of implementation, as of July 31, 2025, the Organizing Committee of the Award has received 1,110 press works submitted in 4 categories: print, electronic, radio, and television from 90 press agencies at the central and local levels. With the spirit of democracy, objectivity, impartiality, and high responsibility, the members of the Final Jury have reviewed and unanimously selected 44 best works to award prizes. Thereby bringing about effectiveness and positive changes in the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television for successfully organizing this very meaningful press award; and congratulated the authors and groups of authors whose excellent works were honored at the award ceremony. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the 5th National Press Award Ceremony on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity took place in an atmosphere of the whole country excitedly competing to achieve achievements to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party and celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025). According to the Prime Minister, during his lifetime, beloved President Ho Chi Minh - the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, national liberation hero, world cultural celebrity of Vietnam - advised: corruption, waste and bureaucracy are enemies of the people, a kind of internal invader. Taking his advice to heart, our Party and State have focused on directing the drastic, synchronous and strict implementation of the uncompromising fight against corruption, waste and negativity with the motto of no "forbidden zones", no "exceptions" and achieved many very important and comprehensive results, which have been agreed upon and supported by the people and highly appreciated by the international community. The Prime Minister assessed that the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been a vanguard force on the front line of the fight against corruption, waste and negativity. After 5 seasons of being organized, the national press award on corruption prevention, waste and negativity has increasingly improved its position, prestige and influence. The Prime Minister suggested that it is necessary to continue to strongly promote the key role of the press, building a team of journalists who are "steadfast, not retreating in the face of difficulties and challenges; alert in the face of temptations; steadfast and persistent in political courage; dedicated and sharp in expertise; humane in practice and determined, courageous in fighting uncompromisingly against corruption, waste and negativity with the spirit of "steel in the pen, fire in the heart". Along with that, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations continue to perform well the tasks of social supervision and criticism, further promoting the role and strength of the people in detecting and fighting against manifestations and acts of corruption, waste and negativity... The Prime Minister believes that the national press award on preventing corruption, waste and negativity will continue to innovate, create strong influence, add motivation, inspiration, and confidence for the team of journalists to freely create, devote their talent, enthusiasm and intelligence to the cause of fighting corruption, waste and negativity. fight against corruption, waste and negativity
