Smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, intellectual property rights infringement, food safety, etc. are issues that have received public attention recently, as many violations have been discovered and publicly handled. In Phu Yen , the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has issued a directive document related to strengthening the fight against, preventing and repelling smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property rights infringement.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee requests the Party Committees, Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee, departments, branches, the Fatherland Front, provincial organizations, district and city Party Committees to focus on thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing the goals, viewpoints, tasks and solutions stated in Directive 13/CT-TTG, Official Dispatch 65/CD-TTg and the Prime Minister 's directives on handling violations in the production and distribution of fake milk, fake medicines, health protection foods... to protect the legitimate rights and interests of people and businesses, and to protect the security and health safety of the people.

Units and localities launch a high-profile campaign to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement; consider this work a very important, long-term task that must be regular, comprehensive, continuous, and mobilize the participation of the entire political system and all the people.

Units closely combine the Party's inspection and supervision work, inspection work with the supervision of agencies, elected representatives, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations, press and media agencies and the People to promptly detect, correct, rectify, and overcome limitations and shortcomings; strictly handle cadres, civil servants, and officers who lack responsibility, are lax in leadership, direction, management, and violate the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

The Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and handling of cases of smuggling, smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, etc., especially violations in the e-commerce environment; take responsibility for inspecting and strictly controlling goods circulating on the market, promptly detecting and handling counterfeit and poor quality goods.

Along with that, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to direct the Provincial People's Committee to establish a Working Group headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, with appropriate participants; direct the Provincial Steering Committee 389 to continue to promote its role and activities; strengthen the direction and synchronous implementation of measures and operations to combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and prohibited goods; promptly detect and strictly handle violations.

The Provincial People's Committee also directed the Departments of Health, Agriculture and Environment, Science and Technology, Culture, Sports and Tourism, etc. to strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of trading in fake, smuggled, or unknown origin drugs and pharmaceuticals, or violations of forestry products, aquatic products, fertilizers, livestock, pesticides, etc.; review and recommend competent authorities to amend and supplement regulations on intellectual property to direct and manage newly arising issues, ensuring consistency and synchronization in legal regulations. At the same time, review and clearly define the responsibilities and areas of each agency and unit, ensuring no overlap, omission of tasks, lax management, affecting work; strictly handle agencies that request advertising, carry out advertising, individuals and artists who take advantage of their reputation to engage in false advertising, especially on social networks.

Strengthen inspection and post-inspection

The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee also requested the secretaries of district, town and city Party Committees to lead and direct the local political system to actively participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights. The Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Police directed the Provincial Police to direct the police force to coordinate with functional forces to focus on identifying organizations and individuals suspected of violations; fight fiercely, establish special projects, and handle criminal acts of organizations and individuals with serious violations in order to promptly deter and warn...

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, etc., the department has developed and implemented plans to deploy food safety management activities of the industry, participating in interdisciplinary inspection teams on food safety of the province at production and business establishments in the province.

The Department has directed the Phu Yen Market Management Department to focus on managing the area, regularly monitor and supervise to promptly detect market developments, especially dairy products, health protection foods, food, and goods of all kinds at retail channels and e-commerce platforms; strengthen propaganda, dissemination, and legal education to production and business organizations and individuals.

Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, shared: In order for the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, etc. to be implemented in accordance with the law and instructions from all levels, the Department of Industry and Trade continues to thoroughly grasp and direct market management departments and forces to strengthen coordination, inspection, and supervision of production and trading activities of high-risk counterfeit goods. "The Department will carry out post-inspection of food safety in the industry and trade sector according to the plan of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee for Food Safety; effectively implement tasks and solutions to strengthen the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, production, and trading of goods that do not meet the conditions for circulation on the market," said Mr. Tran Quoc Toan.
