Many businesses focus on organizing nutritious meals for workers.
During a break at a garment factory, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lien (worker at Thuan Dao Industrial Park, Ben Luc Commune, Tay Ninh Province) shared: "When going to work, everyone wants to be healthy to work long-term and support their family. The nature of my job requires me to sit for many hours, if I don't have reasonable breaks, I can easily get back pain and eye strain. Thanks to the company's attention to organizing regular health check-ups and arranging a medical room, we feel secure in our commitment and try our best."
In reality, many businesses focus on building a safe working environment, improving hygiene conditions, organizing nutritious meals, supporting insurance and increasing regular health check-ups for employees. These are practical measures to help reduce the risk of occupational diseases for employees as well as contribute to improving labor productivity.
Many businesses consider taking care of their workers' health as a long-term investment. Zhu Hui, Head of Production Management Department of Louvre Textile Co., Ltd., Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park (An Hoi Quarter, Trang Bang Ward), said: "Workers are the most valuable assets of a business. If they are healthy and work in a safe environment, production efficiency can be guaranteed. Therefore, we regularly organize occupational safety training, coordinate with the health sector to organize periodic health check-ups, check the working environment, and ensure food safety and hygiene."
At the same time, many enterprises also focus on building a culture of behavior, creating resting spaces, sports areas, and cultural activity rooms so that employees can restore their labor force and reduce mental pressure after stressful working hours. This is a direction that demonstrates the social responsibility and long-term vision of enterprises.
With the function of state management, in recent times, the Health sector has regularly coordinated to inspect and supervise the compliance with regulations on occupational safety and hygiene at enterprises. Recently, the Department of Health organized a delegation to inspect the compliance with the provisions of the law on occupational hygiene, employee health care, and occupational disease prevention at enterprises in the province.
Master Nguyen Hoang Uyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Health, informed: "Inspection and supervision help detect and promptly correct violations, while raising the sense of responsibility of enterprises for health care, prevention and control of occupational diseases for workers. This is also the basis for creating a safe and friendly working environment, minimizing the risks of accidents and occupational diseases for workers."
Taking care of workers' health is not only humane but also a driving force for sustainable development. A safe working environment and adequate health care conditions will help workers feel secure in their commitment, reduce absenteeism, and contribute to stabilizing the workforce. To do that, the health sector needs to continue to strengthen inspection and professional support; businesses must strictly implement regulations; and proactively invest in improving working conditions. Along with that, workers also need to voluntarily practice health training and comply with safety procedures during work./.
