Information recorded from the infectious disease reporting software according to Circular 54/2015 of the Ministry of Health , in Thanh Dong neighborhood, 3 cases of dengue fever were detected. Up to now, the neighborhood has recorded 3 outbreaks. The cases are households living close to each other.

Ms. Le Thi Thon (residing in Thanh Dong ward), one of the people who contracted dengue fever, said that she had just recovered from the disease about 2 days ago. Before that, she had a fever and bought medicine to take but it did not go away; she went to a private medical facility and found out that she had dengue fever and was treated at the hospital.

“The dengue fever situation in the area where I live has increased significantly. Many households around my family and the school in the neighborhood also have many cases. My family and I work together to clean the house, clear trees, wash blankets, etc. to prevent dengue fever,” Ms. Thon added.

Immediately after receiving information from Thanh Dong neighborhood, the authorities and local authorities identified a dengue fever outbreak and quickly deployed treatment measures.

Dr. Hoang Thi Phuong Thao - Head of Binh Minh Ward Health Station said: "As soon as there was information about the case, the station sent staff to the family to investigate and handle the case and the outbreak. Mobilized the patient's family and surrounding households to clean the environment, turn over objects containing stagnant water to kill mosquito larvae; spray chemicals to kill mosquitoes within a 200m radius in the area where the outbreak occurred. It is expected to kill mosquito larvae and spray chemicals a second time after 7-10 days to ensure the outbreak is completely treated, avoiding the risk of a disease outbreak."

Previously, from October 19 to 22, 2025, the People's Committee of Binh Minh Ward mobilized forces to simultaneously conduct a general environmental sanitation campaign in 8 neighborhoods and neighboring areas at high risk; recommended that people in the remaining areas take environmental sanitation measures themselves, kill mosquito larvae, collect garbage, clear bushes, clear sewers, remove stagnant water containers where dengue-carrying mosquitoes can easily breed, and turn over water containers when not in use, etc. to prevent epidemics.

In addition, the delegation also focused on communication to eradicate mosquito larvae in the community - especially in schools, worker dormitories, construction sites, industrial parks; high-risk areas; organized Green Sundays, general environmental sanitation, mosquito and larvae eradication to prevent and control Chikungunya and dengue fever; mobilized people and households to maintain hygiene around their homes and on the streets.
