At the working session, comrade Le Duc Tho, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee reported to the working delegation on the results of implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee since the beginning of the term. Ben Tre province has achieved important results in areas such as: Party building and political system building have developed quite comprehensively and synchronously, creating clear changes; Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, associated with the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members, especially leaders at all levels, has been implemented throughout the entire Party Committee; Economic leadership has recovered and grown positively, budget revenue has been quite good, cultural and social activities have been maintained and developed...

Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee has proactively issued leadership and direction documents to thoroughly grasp and concretize the implementation of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress. In particular, it focuses on leading and directing the good implementation of inspection, supervision, and preliminary assessment of the implementation of 18 documents concretizing the implementation of the Resolution, 5 key tasks, 3 strategic breakthroughs and 11 key projects of the province.

Compared to the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, up to now, 15/20 targets have reached over 50%; 3/20 targets have reached from 40% to under 50%; 2/20 have reached under 40%. The local economic structure has shifted in the right direction. It is estimated that by the end of the term, the province has the potential to achieve and exceed 14/17 socio-economic targets.

The key task until the end of the term is that Ben Tre province will closely follow the goals, tasks and solutions set out in the Resolution of the 11th Congress. Continue to effectively implement the motto "Democracy - Discipline - Consensus - Creativity - Development" throughout the Party and people; promote the "New Dong Khoi" emulation movement; be proactive, positive, flexible, creative and effective in leadership, direction and administration; resolutely implement the tasks and solutions set out in the Resolution of the Congress.

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Truong Thi Mai acknowledged and praised the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for their solidarity, unity and outstanding results in the first half of the term implementing the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress. Comrade Truong Thi Mai commented that in the past time, Ben Tre has closely followed and strictly implemented the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress in line with reality. The province has issued documents suitable to local reality to have a basis for implementing the Central's guidelines and policies. At the same time, the province focuses on Party building, building the political system, inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline; ensuring social security and national defense and security.

Regarding socio-economic development, comrade Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the province's efforts in some economic development indicators, especially the development shift to the East. Although the locality still faces some difficulties, the scale of Ben Tre's economy is increasingly growing, surpassing other provinces in the region and the general level of the whole country.

Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai noted that in the coming time, Ben Tre will continue to pay attention to leading and directing the construction of 10 aspects of Party building, paying attention to grassroots party organizations and the quality of party members. Specifically, the province needs to promote Party building, well implement the resolutions of the Central Committee; building a clean and strong Party and political system is a key task, in which cadre work is decisive. In addition, Ben Tre will continue to pay attention to building grassroots party organizations and the quality of party members, and at the same time continue to do well and tighten cadre work, especially for the next term...

In addition, the Standing Secretariat requested Ben Tre province to continue promoting the results achieved in the past time, the lessons learned during the first half of the term, and to develop a more appropriate plan to achieve the development goals. The province closely follows the goals, tasks, and solutions in the Resolution of the 11th National Congress, the resolutions, projects, directives, programs, and plans that have been issued, especially the 5 key tasks and 3 breakthrough tasks to promote development in the remaining half of the term; focusing on regional linkages in socio-economic development in the coming time.
