Compliance with ISO 15189:2022 helps improve technical capacity and laboratory management. At the same time, it ensures accuracy, timeliness, increases the reliability of test results, and creates conditions to promote the acceptance of test results among medical facilities.

Specialist Doctor II Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, said that with the ISO 15189:2022 certification, Dong Nai General Hospital's test results will be linked with upper-level hospitals and hospitals in the province. This will help save costs, shorten time and provide high-quality testing services to patients. This is the first step in the roadmap to implement electronic medical records and apply artificial intelligence in medical examination and treatment at the hospital.

At the ceremony, Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Director of the Office of Quality Recognition, Ministry of Science and Technology , awarded the ISO 15189:2022 certificate of recognition on testing quality standards to the Departments of Biochemistry, Hematology - Blood Transfusion and Microbiology of Dong Nai General Hospital.
Thus, up to this point, both grade I public hospitals at the provincial level of Dong Nai have achieved international standards in testing. This is of great significance, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people in the province.
