Petrolimex Dong Nai celebrates 50th anniversary

(DN) - On November 7, Petrolimex Dong Nai One Member Co., Ltd. held a ceremony to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province Nguyen Tan Phu, along with representatives of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and leaders of departments and branches in the province.

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) attended the ceremony with Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietnam National Petroleum Group Luu Van Tuyen and representatives of the Board of Directors, Trade Union, and Board of Directors of the group.

The predecessor of Petrolimex Dong Nai Company Limited was Dong Nai General Materials Company, established on November 7, 1975, under the Ministry of Materials (now the Ministry of Industry and Trade ). In 1996, the company officially merged into Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (now Vietnam National Petroleum Group - Petrolimex).

In 2025, implementing the organization and rearrangement of petroleum companies under the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, accordingly, on August 22, according to the decision from the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), the company officially changed its name to Petrolimex Dong Nai One Member Co., Ltd., abbreviated as Petrolimex Dong Nai. Along with this event, the company received and established the Petrolimex Binh Phuoc Branch.

Mr. Pham Van Nam, Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Dong Nai Company Limited, said: As a member of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, the company clearly understands its political mission of "Ensuring energy security" in all situations. With a glorious tradition of 50 years of formation and development, Petrolimex Dong Nai has made outstanding contributions and fulfilled its mission of ensuring the supply of gasoline to develop the local economy. The company has developed a retail system with nearly 70 gasoline stores spread across communes and wards in the whole province, including remote areas, ineffective business, in difficult and remote places, without any presence.

Currently, the company has nearly 400 employees and 70 business locations including offices, gas stations, and other goods and service stores operating in a wide open market full of promise for new successes - a clear demonstration of the company's efforts to develop with the country.

The Company has been honored by the Party and State with various forms of commendation and noble emulation titles such as: First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals; Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, along with many excellent emulation flags, certificates of merit, and prestigious certificates of merit from Ministries, branches and Provincial People's Committees, most notably the Third Class Independence Medal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province Vo Tan Duc acknowledged the results and achievements that Petrolimex Dong Nai has achieved during 50 years of formation and development, as well as the company's contributions to the local socio-economic development.

Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized: Entering a new phase, facing the requirement of rapid and sustainable development, I believe that Petrolimex Dong Nai will continue to innovate and develop, focusing on four pillars: investing in modern technology infrastructure, developing high-quality human resources, innovation in business and shifting energy towards green, clean and sustainable direction.

Dong Nai province will always accompany and support the company to continue to maintain its leading role in the petroleum business sector, actively contributing to the socio-economic development goals, building Dong Nai province into the socio-economic development center of the country by 2030 with a foundation of high-tech industry, aviation, logistics and modern agriculture.

On this occasion, Vietnam National Petroleum Group donated 2 billion VND to the Dong Nai Province Fund for the Poor and 1 billion VND in scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties in Dong Nai.
