EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital is organizing a seminar on aesthetic regenerative plastic surgery.

On September 17th, an international workshop themed "Updating New Trends in Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery and Fat Grafting," organized by EMCAS Cosmetic Hospital in collaboration with Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop was attended by hundreds of experts, associate professors, and renowned doctors from both within and outside the country, as well as representatives from EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital; the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tung - Director of Professional Services at EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital, delivered the opening remarks at the workshop.

At the conference, three renowned speakers, including Dr. Amin Kalaaji, President of the Secretariat Group of the International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tung, Director of Professional Services at EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hieu Liem, Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, presented 12 scientific reports on regenerative plastic surgery, with the main topics revolving around breast, buttock, and facial aesthetics using autologous fat; genital aesthetics; postpartum beauty; and updates on safety guidelines, solutions for various cases, and methods for optimizing results in cosmetic surgery.

Many presentations related to new trends in cosmetic reconstructive surgery and fat grafting were shared by Dr. Amin Kalaaji at the conference.

Specifically, the topics covered include: New trends in breast augmentation using autologous fat grafting: Replacing breast implants with fat and the combination of breast implants and autologous fat in breast augmentation techniques; Breast augmentation using stem cell-rich fat grafting.

Body contouring, fat grafting, and liposuction: Patient choice, evaluation, and consent.

Postpartum cosmetic surgery and other combined cosmetic surgeries; Challenges in selection, implementation, and follow-up? Quality of life and vaginal rejuvenation techniques in women undergoing vaginal cosmetic surgery.

Facial fat grafting - indications, techniques, and precautions; Fat grafting in breast reconstruction...

In particular, during the final session of the workshop, Dr. Amin Kalaaji provided valuable information on how to write scientific articles for cosmetic surgery journals and how to write a book about the association's activities in the country where one lives.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hieu Liem - Head of the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, presented a scientific report on the topic "Autologous Fat: A Miraculous Filler and Rejuvenator".

Representatives from EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital stated that the field of regenerative medicine and reconstructive surgery has been a rapidly developing trend in recent years, with the global medical community dedicating significant time and effort to research and clinical trials.

Following the global trend, Vietnamese doctors and experts are also striving to contribute to the development of this field through research. However, opportunities to update information remain limited.

Therefore, EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital has decided to co-organize an annual international conference on this field with the aim of updating information and promoting cooperation among experts, doctors, and businesses related to this field, opening a stronger "new chapter" for the domestic aesthetic industry.

At the recent conference, EMCAS Aesthetic Hospital officially announced the date and theme for its next event. Accordingly, the international conference on “Updates on Research and Application of Regenerative Medicine in Aesthetic Surgery” is scheduled to take place on September 14-15, 2024. Next year's conference will feature the return of Dr. Amin Kalaaji, along with Dr. Steven Cohen, Prof. Dr. Lee L. Pu, Prof. Dr. Owen A Ung, and Prof. Dr. Jaroslav Michalek.
