Fire engulfs car garage in Hanoi, Mercedes car burned down

A major fire broke out at a car care center on Nguyen Van Giap Street (Cau Dien Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi ) at 6:00 p.m. on June 5.

The fire spread quickly, with a column of black smoke rising from the scene. Witnesses reported loud explosions and a strong burning smell.

"There were 1-2 cars inside. I saw a white Mercedes outside," said the witness, adding that many people living around the area panicked and ran away when they heard about the incident.

At 7:30 p.m., the leader of Cau Dien Ward People's Committee confirmed the incident and said the fire had been extinguished. Initially, no casualties were recorded. "There are no exact statistics on the number of damaged vehicles. However, many items were burned by the fire," he said.
