Le Viet Toan, a player who works in the construction industry and is also a member of the Da Nang billiards team in the English billiards category, defeated the legendary Tran Quyet Chien to win the 3-cushion carom championship.

The much-anticipated final match between Tran Quyet Chien and the exciting phenomenon Le Viet Toan started as expected. Vietnam's number one player quickly showed his class with neat moves, quickly leading 20-9 in the first round. But the unexpected scenario happened right at the beginning of the second round.

Tran Quyet Chien is the number 1 player in Vietnam and the top player in Asia with 4 World Cup billiards championships.

Viet Toan suddenly exploded with 2 consecutive series to accelerate and equalize the gap to 20-20. Not stopping there, Viet Toan had another 7-point shot to take the lead 29-22. Although Quyet Chien fought back strongly and equalized the score at 32-32, Viet Toan still kept his cool. Viet Toan continued to show his ability to score very evenly, increasing the gap to 39-34 before ending the match with a 40-35 victory after 27 shots.

This result surprised many viewers. Viet Toan not only defeated the world's top players, but also did it in a tournament with billiards which is not his forte.

Le Viet Toan’s championship is a clear testament to the appeal and unpredictability of 3-cushion carom.
