Binh Dai visits and learns about the rural market model in Dong Thap province

Binh Dai district delegation visited the rural market area in Tan Thuan Dong commune.

During the visit, the delegation of Binh Dai district was briefly introduced by the leaders of Tan Thuan Dong Commune People's Committee about the formation of the market, activities, management of the rural market, the construction and forms of propaganda, mobilizing union members, members and people with garden products, homemade products to participate in selling at the rural market.

It is known that the rural market of Tan Thuan Dong commune is located on a separate island from the mainland, held one day a week, on Saturday afternoon, from 2:00 p.m. to about 8:00 p.m., and has been operating for nearly 3 years. Every week, there are 2,000 or more visitors coming to visit, experience, and shop. Since its launch, the rural market has been held 98 times, attracting over 247,000 visitors (including over 80,000 foreign visitors), with a revenue of over 16.3 billion VND and a profit of over 7 billion VND.

Through visiting and learning from experience, Chairman of Binh Dai District People's Committee Bui Thi Huyen Trang requested the departments, levels, leaders of the People's Committee and people of Thua Duc commune to have specific plans and programs to apply in practice in the locality. From this rural market model, it will be the foundation for implementing investment in building the first rural market of the district in Thua Duc commune in the near future.
