Binh Dinh escaped defeat to Hai Phong at home.

Binh Dinh Hai Phong took the lead, but efforts in the second half helped Binh Dinh equalize 1-1, keeping a point at home in round 10 of V-League 2023.

The 1-1 draw extended Binh Dinh's winless streak to three matches. In the previous two rounds, the ambitious team lost 1-2 at Viettel Stadium, then drew 1-1 at home with Nam Dinh . Because of this streak of results, they only have 15 points after 10 matches, 6 points behind the leader Thanh Hoa, while playing one more match. Meanwhile, Hai Phong extended their unbeaten streak to four matches, and are currently seventh with 12 points.

Playing away from home, Hai Phong started the game better. They soon gave the home team a scare when Carlos Fernandez headed the ball into the top corner, forcing goalkeeper Dang Van Lam to dive to save the goal. In the 26th minute, the away team had another chance from Dang Van Toi's dangerous header, but the ball went wide.

Immediately after that, Binh Dinh responded with a good situation down the right wing for Ha Duc Chinh to cross into the penalty area. Viktor Le headed the ball, but it was right at the position chosen by goalkeeper Dinh Trieu.

But as Binh Dinh gradually found their rhythm, they unexpectedly conceded a goal in the 43rd minute. Luong Hoang Nam won a free kick for Hai Phong from about 28 meters away. Huu Son's shot hit the ground, forcing Van Lam to struggle to push the ball away, and Hai Huy rushed in to score a powerful rebound to open the score.

In the second half, coach Nguyen Duc Thang sent Nghiem Xuan Tu onto the field to create balance between the two wings, and at the same time had more quality crosses. In the first 10 minutes, Hai Phong's goal was shaken by that scenario.

While in high spirits, Binh Dinh almost lost again in the 66th minute. Joseph Mpande crossed from the right wing for Hoang Nam to comfortably shoot at the second post, but Van Lam excellently used his foot to block. The midfielder from HAGL was even more regretful when four minutes later Binh Dinh equalized.

From the left wing, Do Thanh Thinh feinted and crossed the ball to the second post. Mac Hong Quan took advantage of the space to head the ball to Duc Chinh right in front of the goal. The striker born in 1997 jumped up and headed the ball, hitting the crossbar and bouncing right into the right position for Rafaelson to rush in and shoot to equalize 1-1.

Binh Dinh had more chances at the end of the match but could not take advantage and had to share points with Hai Phong.
