The Politburo has decided to issue disciplinary warnings to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Mr. Truong Hoa Binh and reprimand Ms. Truong Thi Mai.

On December 13 at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo reviewed and disciplined party members who had committed violations and shortcomings. After considering the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee , the Politburo found that Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, during his tenure as a Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Prime Minister, violated Party and State regulations in performing his assigned duties and tasks, and in preventing and combating corruption and negativity. He violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, negative public opinion, and affecting the prestige of the Party and State. Ms. Truong Thi Mai, during her tenure as a Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, violated Party and State regulations in performing her assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on controlling power in personnel work, regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, affecting the prestige of the Party and the State. Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, during his tenure as a member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, was irresponsible in leadership and direction; violated the regulations of the Party and the State in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Violating the regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing serious consequences, bad public opinion, affecting the prestige of the Party and the State. Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above Party members, according to the Party's regulations on disciplining violating Party members, the Politburo decided to issue warnings to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Mr. Truong Hoa Binh. Reprimand Ms. Truong Thi Mai. Requesting competent agencies to promptly implement administrative discipline, in line with Party discipline.
