The Ministry of Health has established four inspection teams to assess hospital quality, survey patient and medical staff satisfaction, and inspect and monitor the implementation of legal regulations on medical examination and treatment, forensic and forensic psychiatric examination. The inspection and monitoring activities of the four teams will be carried out from now until December 30, 2025. The inspection teams will dissolve themselves after completing their tasks.
The Ministry of Health informed that the subjects, scope of inspection and assessment of the 4 delegations are hospitals and institutes with beds under the Ministry of Health; public and private hospitals under local management; Central and regional Institutes and Centers for Forensic Psychiatry; and other medical examination and treatment facilities.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Health, the heads of the inspection teams are the Director and 3 Deputy Directors of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management; the team members are officers and specialists of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management. The head of the inspection team is responsible for determining the units and key inspection and assessment contents; has a written request to invite members from units and hospitals under the Ministry of Health and the Departments of Health to join the Team and assign tasks to the members.
The Ministry of Health's 2024 hospital quality assessment shows that, despite the time spent on COVID-19 prevention and control, in recent years, many hospitals across the country have still paid attention to hospital quality, with many improvements, initiatives, and successful application of many new, advanced techniques in medical examination and treatment. Hospitals have made many improvements in welcoming and serving patients, shortening the time for some administrative procedures and waiting time for testing.
