Legal knowledge training for grassroots propagandists

On September 6 and 7, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Thai Nguyen province organized a conference to improve the capacity of commune-level legal propagandists in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. The conference had 70 delegates attending, including reporters and legal propagandists from Vo Nhai, Dan Tien and Trang Xa communes.

Delegates are commune-level propagandists who are trained in legal knowledge.

Delegates were analyzed by reporters on the harmful effects of early marriage and incestuous marriage on health and population quality; instructed on communication skills, and provided legal advice on marriage and family.

In addition, the conference also provided basic knowledge on the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Children and related legal regulations. Delegates also participated in discussions, exchanged experiences and pointed out difficulties and obstacles in propaganda work at the grassroots level.

This activity aims to effectively implement Sub-project 2, Project 9: "Reducing child marriage and consanguineous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas" under the National Target Program for the period 2021-2030. This is also an important solution to improve the quality of population and human resources in ethnic minority areas of the province.

After the Conference, delegates will participate in a learning experience program in Tuyen Quang province.
