Professional training for tax officials in detecting violations

(Chinhphu.vn) - Faced with increasingly complex tax management requirements, the People's Police Academy coordinated with the Tax Department to open a training course on tax violation detection and handling skills for civil servants, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the fight against and prevention of tax fraud and evasion.

The People's Police Academy has just coordinated with the Tax Department to organize the opening of a training course on detecting and handling tax law violations for tax officials. The course aims to equip and update specialized knowledge and skills in identifying, detecting and handling tax law violations, contributing to improving the effectiveness of management work in the context of increasingly sophisticated and complicated violations.

The course lasted for 35 days, with the participation of trainees who were officials of the Inspection Board and officials of eight provincial and municipal Tax Departments. This program is part of the regular training plan of the Tax sector to meet the current requirements of tax management and inspection practices.

Deputy Director of the Tax Department Vu Manh Cuong emphasized that training, fostering and improving the capacity of tax officials is always a core and continuous task of the industry. In the current period, the Tax industry is implementing an organizational model with a specialized orientation according to functions, while strengthening risk management, inspection and handling of violations, along with promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation throughout the system.

According to Mr. Cuong, practice requires civil servants, especially those directly involved in inspection, examination, enforcement and handling of violations, to have deep professional capacity, sharp analytical thinking and the ability to coordinate effectively with competent authorities in combating and preventing violations of tax laws. Therefore, organizing the course is a practical activity, contributing to improving professional skills for tax officials.

In addition, the Deputy Director of the Tax Department affirmed that the training course is the result of close and systematic coordination between the Tax Department and the People's Police Academy - a leading training institution in investigation and prevention of economic crimes. He also expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two agencies will continue to expand specialized training programs in accordance with the new organizational model of the industry, in order to build a team of specialized, disciplined, responsible and dedicated tax officials to serve taxpayers.

Accordingly, the Tax Department's leaders requested that students participating in the course should promote a sense of responsibility, be open-minded, and fully absorb the knowledge imparted by the lecturers. This is an opportunity for each civil servant to improve themselves, enhance their professional qualifications, skills and professional qualities, thereby becoming core cadres, contributing to spreading the spirit of learning throughout the industry.
