From the Design and Survey Enterprise of the Information and Communications Corps, established in 1995 with less than 10 engineers, after 30 years of development, VTK has become the leading information and communication infrastructure consulting enterprise in Vietnam, playing a core role in creating national digital infrastructure, contributing to ensuring solid communication, serving economic and social development and protecting the Fatherland.
To date, VTK has participated in surveying and designing more than 2,000 projects serving national defense and security, including more than 1,500 key information infrastructure projects in strategic areas, borders, and islands. In particular, the enterprise has surveyed, designed, and built 1,450 BTS stations covering the entire Vietnamese sea and islands, including Truong Sa and DK1 platform, expanding the coverage area to 300,000 km², helping hundreds of thousands of fishermen, soldiers, and functional forces maintain stable communication, contributing to affirming sovereignty over seas and islands.
At the same time, VTK also participated in building 830 BTS stations and 1,200 km of fiber optic cables at border posts, helping Viettel cover 100% of border areas, strengthening information security, contributing to protecting border sovereignty on land and cyberspace.

Not only a pioneer in the field of design, VTK is also the only unit in Vietnam capable of building a commercial 5G transmission model, mastering the technology of measuring, planning and optimizing the new generation telecommunications network. The company is also the first enterprise in the field of telecommunications infrastructure consulting to be granted ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification - a prestigious international standard for telecommunications measurement, and owns two exclusive patents for useful solutions on telecommunications infrastructure - affirming the creative capacity and pioneering position of Vietnamese enterprises in the field of high technology.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of the Group, acknowledged VTK's contributions and said that in the new development phase, VTK needs to focus on investing in research and mastering core technologies, implementing the topic "Breakthrough solutions for sustainable Viettel network infrastructure in natural disasters", applying new materials and technologies to help strengthen the telecommunications system quickly, economically, environmentally friendly and able to withstand super typhoons of level 17. The company also expanded into the fields of measuring - optimizing the quality of telecommunications networks, consulting on civil, industrial and interior design.
Currently, VTK is one of four telecommunications testing organizations nationwide designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology. By 2030, VTK aims to have a revenue exceeding 1,000 billion VND, becoming a multi-disciplinary consulting - engineering - technology enterprise, expanding international operations and continuing to maintain its No. 1 position in telecommunications infrastructure consulting in Vietnam.
