Not accepting being overwhelmed, the Thai team quickly adjusted their playing style in set 2. Their high blocks and powerful serves made it difficult for the Vietnamese attackers. The team from the Land of the Golden Temples won easily 25-16, tying the score at 1-1.

Set 3 was a thrilling score chase. Despite being constantly chased, the Vietnamese team still maintained their focus at the decisive moment and won 25-21. However, Thailand continued to show their tenacity when they won 25-19 in set 4, bringing the match into the deciding set.

In set 5, the Vietnamese team showed their steely spirit. Precise attacks, effective blocking and enthusiastic cheers from the audience helped the home team overcome their opponents with a score of 15-11, ending a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Quan Trong Nghia and his teammates had a day off before entering the final match, deciding the ranking, against the Philippines - the opponent that the Vietnamese team lost to in the first leg.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will face Thailand in the penultimate match of the second leg of SEA V.League 2025, at 4:00 p.m. on July 19.
