Sharing about the inspiration for the theme song “Tiệp”, Son Pham said he wrote this piece when he broke up with his first love, leaving behind a lot of hurt and disappointment: “Going through the days of youth together, loving each other seemingly endlessly, then one day suddenly we were no longer together. The feeling of the whole world at that time seemed to break apart, the melody just planted itself in my head. Maybe because I couldn’t say it, I chose to sing about my own sadness.”
Meanwhile, "No one in the world is like a leaf" is a story about a silent love that comes from vague feelings that Son Pham has from a girl he doesn't know.
In the MV “Don’t Say”, Son Pham and Ha Kiem - his companion in music for many years - personally filmed and edited a MV with a strong 1900s style, showing the mischievous and adorable side of the Gen Z guy. He said he wanted to turn back time, giving the public a strange “dish” among the sharp, high-resolution products commonly found on the market.
Son Pham was born in 2000 in Hanoi , and is currently a student of Applied Music at Thang Long University (Hanoi). Although he has been passionate about music since childhood, growing up in a family that had nothing to do with art, he never dared to express his desire to others.

In high school, Son Pham started learning about guitar, how to arrange songs, compose, edit and post them on social networks. After the song "Everyday Stories After Breaking Up" with its gentle and profound melody, he became known to many audiences and began to receive invitations to perform at music shows.
“I chose indie music because this genre of music helps me satisfy myself in the best way, without pressure or constraints. Moreover, indie music is not limited by genre or language, making me feel comfortable when “struggling” and spreading myself in music” - Son Pham shared.
In 2024, Son Pham enrolled in an internship at Starlab Arts Academy with the hope of learning from musician Hoang Anh Minh - his idol. After many days of quietly doing unnamed jobs, one day, before a business trip, musician Hoang Anh Minh called Son Pham up and said: "In a few months, when I come back, have something for me to listen to". Son Pham's musical path began from there.
Talking about his students, musician Hoang Anh Minh shared: “Through the first round of searching for trainees, we chose Son Pham. The group and I agreed that the most important thing is the soul and the individual ego in music. Technically, seniors like us will support you to do better, more accurately, but purity and youth are precious things of artists that cannot be replaced. That is also in line with the spirit that Starlab is aiming for - finding and nurturing young artists with beautiful souls and individual personalities in music.
Son Pham and his debut EP are really impressive, especially the way you emphasize mood and emotion – something Gen Z values more than genre or trend.”
Talking about the road ahead, Son Pham said he doesn’t think too much but wants to let music guide him. There, he also puts aside all the fuss about appearance and stage name, only wanting to find like-minded people through emotions and melodies.
