AN P HU SCHOOL INCREASE NEARLY 1,000 1ST GRADE STUDENTS
Localities in Ho Chi Minh City are in the process of enrolling students for the new school year. According to the plan to mobilize children to attend school and enroll students for the first grade of the 2025-2026 school year in Tan Phu District, the population of the age group born in 2019 (6 years old) residing in the district is expected to be 7,017 children.

Compared to the number of public first graders in the 2024-2025 school year of 6,046, the district plans to increase by 971 students in the 2025-2026 school year. Compared to the total number of primary school students in the 2024-2025 school year, this new school year, the entire primary school level of Tan Phu District is expected to increase by 547 students.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Tan Son Nhi Primary School (Tan Phu District) will enroll first graders according to the type of school that implements high-quality, advanced, regionally and internationally integratededucational content. The district enrolls first graders with 100% of students studying 2 sessions/day, implemented at 4 national standard primary schools including: Au Co, Ho Van Cuong, Tan Huong, Tan Son Nhi.
There are 5 primary schools enrolling students in the integrated English program (teaching and learning math, science and English integrated with the English and Vietnamese programs) namely Au Co, Ho Van Cuong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tan Huong, Tan Son Nhi. At the schools, the organization of enhanced English teaching for first grade students follows the 2018 General Education Program and the City's own roadmap in qualified classes.
QB BINH T AN REDUCES THE NUMBER OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
In the 2025-2026 school year, Binh Tan District plans to mobilize 10,415 6-year-old children to study in grade 1 (according to survey data of the People's Committees of 10 wards); the whole district is expected to have 54,720 primary school students. Compared to the 2024-2025 school year, the number of primary school students decreased by 183.
In the new school year, Binh Tan District has 38 primary schools (31 public schools; 7 non-public schools), with a total of 1,365 classrooms. With 54,720 students, the district ensures enough space for students with an average class size of 40 students (public 41 students/class, non-public 28 students/class).
Ngo Quyen Primary School (Binh Hung Hoa B Ward, Binh Tan District), the primary school with the largest number of students in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2024-2025 school year with a total of 5,093 students, is expected to have a decrease in the number of students this new school year. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will welcome 637 first graders (with 17 classes), with a total expected number of students under 5,000 students, less than the previous school year, due to the construction of a new primary school in this area.
HU DU CITY MOBILIZES 20,575 1ST GRADE STUDENTS
The number of children born in 2019 (6 years old) residing in Thu Duc City is 20,575, this is also the number that Thu Duc City plans to mobilize 100% to enter grade 1 in the 2025-2026 school year.
In the new school year, Thu Duc City will enroll first graders in the integrated English program according to Decision No. 5695 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (no more than 35 students/class) at the following primary schools: An Binh, Nguyen Hien, Giong Ong To, An Khanh, Nguyen Van Troi, Huynh Van Ngoi, Luong The Vinh 1, Binh Trung Dong, Nguyen Thi Tu, My Thuy, Thanh My Loi, Le Van Viet, Phuoc Binh, Dinh Tien Hoang, Nguyen Van Ba, Nguyen Minh Quang, Pham Van Chinh, Tran Thi Buoi, Linh Chieu, Luong The Vinh, Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Van Triet, Dang Van Bat and Binh Quoi.
Primary schools implementing high-quality, advanced, regionally and internationally integrated education (ensuring 35 students per class) are enrolling first graders with specific targets: An Binh Primary School: 7 first graders with 245 students; Linh Chieu Primary School: 6 first graders with 210 students; Nguyen Thi Tu Primary School: 3 first graders with 105 students; Le Van Viet Primary School: 6 first graders with 210 students.

According to the plan to mobilize children to go to class and enroll in the first grade, the total number of 6-year-old children (born in 2019) according to statistics residing in the wards of District 12 is 10,747 children. This is also the number that the district will mobilize 100% to enter grade 1 of primary schools in the district.
According to the data on the first grade enrollment table, some wards in District 12 have a large number of children entering first grade, and the average number of students per class is expected to be quite high. In the 2025-2026 school year, Le Van Tho Primary School (Tan Thoi Hiep Ward) - the primary school with the largest number of students in District 12 - is expected to welcome 893 first graders (a total of 19 first grade classes, an average of 47 students per class). Grade 1 admission timelines
- From now until 5:00 p.m. on June 4 at the latest: The Department of Education and Training will review and announce the results of first grade enrollment for schools that organize special programs, and synchronize data to the city's primary enrollment page.
- From June 5 to 8: Schools with special programs will receive applications and guide parents to confirm online at the city's admissions page.
- From June 9 to 5:00 p.m. on June 13 at the latest: Based on students submitting applications to schools organizing special programs, and reviewed data received from the Department of Education and Training, the Departments of Education and Training will analyze, adjust, and allocate students to schools with enrollment, depending on the actual situation in the locality.
