VinFast electric car models continue to lead in sales

(CT) - In May 2025, the Vietnamese automobile market continued to record a strong boom in sales from VinFast electric vehicles. In addition, the trend of preferring high-chassis vehicles, especially SUVs/Crossovers, continued to be affirmed.

VinFast VF 5 achieved impressive sales with 4,232 vehicles sold in May.

Leading the list of 10 best-selling car models in the entire market is VinFast VF 5. With impressive sales of up to 4,232 vehicles, VinFast's A-size electric SUV shows its ever-increasing appeal and is increasingly favored by customers. In second place is the VinFast VF 3 electric mini car with 3,950 vehicles delivered in May. In third place is Ford Territory, a C-SUV model from the American brand with monthly sales of 1,481 vehicles. Mazda CX-5 ranked fourth with sales of 1,446 vehicles. VinFast VF 6 is the third VinFast model to appear in fifth place with 1,393 vehicles sold in May. In sixth place on the chart is Ford Ranger. Dubbed the "King of Pickups", this model still maintains its unique position in the segment with 1,254 vehicles sold in May. Ranked seventh is the Toyota Vios, this B-class sedan achieved sales of 1,148 vehicles. Ranked eighth is the Mitsubishi Xpander MPV with 1,100 vehicles sold. Ninth and tenth place belong to two models from the Toyota family: the Yaris Cross in the B-SUV segment, with sales of 1,073 vehicles, and the Corolla Cross with sales of 885 vehicles.
