Training majors in the medical engineering group

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:

On January 9, 2025, the Minister of Health issued Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BYT stipulating codes and standards for professional titles of nursing, midwifery, and medical engineering. Clause 2, Article 12 stipulates that the training standards for the title of Grade II Medical Engineering are to have a level I specialized diploma or a master's degree in the field of medical engineering.

According to Circular No. 09/2022/TT-BGDDT dated June 6, 2022 of the Minister of Education and Training stipulating the statistical list of training majors of higher education, the list of master's level training in the medical engineering group includes the following training majors: medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, and rehabilitation techniques.

The master's training level in biology does not meet the training level regulations of the title of Grade II Medical Technician specified in Article 12 of Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BYT
