How to look up the Certificate of automatic renewal of family car inspection cycle

From June 3, owners of cars with less than 9 seats that are not used for transportation business can look up information and print the Certificate of Validity of the Certificate and Inspection Stamp.

With the introduction of Circular 8/2023/TT-BGTVT, about 1.93 million cars will have their certificates and inspection stamps automatically confirmed for an additional 6 months without having to go to motor vehicle inspection centers, according to calculations by the Department of Registration. Specifically, the subjects of application are passenger cars with up to 9 seats that are not used for transportation, with a production period of up to 7 years and a production period of 13 to 20 years, issued before March 22, 2023 and expiring after June 3, 2023. The inspection extension certificate is an inseparable document attached to the issued inspection certificate to participate in road traffic according to regulations. However, the Department of Registration also recommends that drivers with a long inspection period should not rush to access the website, giving priority to visits to car owners whose inspection will expire on June 3 or the next few days. The representative of the Vietnam Register said that the management software system will be updated gradually in order of vehicles due for inspection. Specifically, it is expected that on the first day (June 3), vehicles due for inspection will be updated until around June 10. How to look up and confirm the validity of the certificate and inspection stamp is as follows: Step 1: Access the website of the Vietnam Register at: http://www.vr.org.vn/ , go to "Look up inspection extension", or go directly to the link: https://giahanxcg.vr.org.vn , the screen will display as follows:

Step 2: Enter the following information: Registration plate, inspection certificate serial number, verification code then press the "Search" key. In case the issued certificate is subject to renewal, the result will be displayed as the following screen:

Vehicle owners click on the link containing the Inspection Information Confirmation Form. Then click on the link to view and print the Confirmation Form for use when participating in traffic.
