Late in the afternoon of February 24th (the 15th day of the first lunar month), a large number of people gathered at the Linh Dong ferry terminal and train station area (at the end of Street 36, in Ward 8, Linh Dong Commune, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) to participate in charitable activities on the first full moon day of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

According to observations by a reporter from Tien Phong newspaper, this young man in the blue shirt constantly held a net, "waiting" for people to release fish so he could catch them. Every now and then, he would sweep the net along the riverbank to find fish.

He and some of his "colleagues" just caught a fish weighing approximately 1kg.

Immediately after catching the fish, the young man offered to sell it to the people releasing animals near the ferry dock.

"Besides the full moon day, I also release fish on regular days when I have free time. I do this to increase my merit and dedicate it to my loved ones so they can benefit from my blessings," the woman who had just released the fish shared, adding that she chose to release them in deep water to avoid them being caught again.
