On September 23, the Urban Management Department of Vung Tau City (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) announced that it had drawn up a record requesting to stop construction and maintain the status quo of the super-thin house built on the road under construction right in the center of Vung Tau City.

According to research, the land where the house was built was previously house number 49, Thong Nhat street with an area of 54.5 m ^2. To expand Thong Nhat street (extension), Vung Tau City decided to reclaim 49.6 m ² of land, so the actual area of the land after reclamation is only about 5.7 m ² .

Super thin house with depth of only about 1.3m

Recently, the homeowner dug the foundation to build a new super thin house, about 1.3m deep and 4.3m wide. The house was originally built with a ground floor and first floor, but the homeowner later removed the upper floor.

The construction of the super-thin structure has made many people fear it will cause unsafety and they have requested the authorities to handle it.

According to the presentation of the landowner, Mr. NTT, after receiving the decision to withdraw the land from the People's Committee of Vung Tau City, the family accepted to hand over the land, but until now they have not been arranged for resettlement, so they asked for permission to renovate and repair according to the current status of the project to live and stabilize their lives.

The Urban Management Department said that according to regulations, if after site clearance or upgrading and renovating a building, the remaining area is less than 15 ^m2 , the frontage width or depth compared to the construction boundary is less than 3 ^m2 , construction is not allowed.

The authorities have drawn up a record requesting the project owner to stop construction and wait for instructions from local authorities.

The Urban Management Department is proposing that the People's Committee of Vung Tau City assign the People's Committee of Ward 3 to handle this super-thin construction, and at the same time assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Land Fund Development Center of Vung Tau City to review and report on the payment of housing rental support money, and urgently carry out the allocation of resettlement land to Mr. T. according to regulations.
