Yamaha Thailand has just launched the new 2025 version of the PG-1 off-road motorbike. Compared to the first version launched in 2023, the Yamaha PG-1 has a more "powerful" braking system, is safer, and has a new dashboard. In terms of overall design, the new generation Yamaha PG-1 version has no major changes with classic round headlights and taillights, a compact but "dusty" shape.
The handlebars of the new Yamaha PG-1 2025 are also renewed with a wider and higher design than before, separate front and rear seats for the driver and passenger, and a ground clearance of 190mm. In the 2025 version, the Yamaha PG1 is equipped with a digital LCD clock, round in shape quite similar to the XSR155. The clock will use a blue background, with 3 levels of brightness adjustment. Information such as speed, fuel, gearbox, etc. are clearly displayed while still maintaining a classic style. The body and side details are still designed to be aggressive, the exposed frame details give a "dusty" look. The rear lights and turn signals have not changed much compared to the previous generation.
Yamaha PG1 2025 has been upgraded with a large disc brake system with a front disc up to 245mm, along with ABS anti-lock braking technology, the rear brake will continue to use mechanical brakes. The addition of ABS technology is considered a new step forward in protecting the safety of the driver, especially for 115cc models like the PG1, which often do not have access to many modern technologies. The vehicle still uses the old tire specifications of 90/100-16M/C 51P (tube tires) front and rear. However, according to some PG1 users, the PG1 2025 version will have wider spikes and a more optimal density distribution, making it less bumpy and more comfortable to move around the city and have better road grip. The PG1 2025 engine still uses a 4-stroke, 2-valve, SOHC, air-cooled engine, providing a maximum capacity of 6.6kW/ 7,000 rpm and maximum torque of 9.5Nm/ 5,500 rpm, ensuring performance and heavy loads.
In addition, the new Yamaha PG1 2025 will have an OBD2 port to help technicians check errors more easily, shortening the vehicle's maintenance time, a very reasonable addition to the PG1. The new 2025 Yamaha PG-1 comes in four color options, including Glacier Blue (new color), Twilight Red, Misty Gray (new color), and Brown Rockstone with a price tag of 57,500 baht (equivalent to 46.6 million VND, a reduction of 7,400 baht from the original price of 64,900 baht).
