A new form of fraud is causing panic among iPhone users because it can take over Apple ID without malware. The attacker repeatedly sends “Reset Password” requests, causing the device to be “bombarded” with authentication notifications.
When users lose patience, they easily mistakenly click “Allow”, opening the way for attackers to break into their accounts. Immediately after, a fake call from “Apple” appeared, asking to read a 6-digit authentication code to “protect the account”.
In fact, this is the 2FA code that the scammer needs to complete the takeover of the victim's Apple ID. Just seconds later, all iCloud data, photos and contacts can be stolen, the account is completely locked. Apple recommends that users never provide authentication codes, and never click “Allow” if they are not asked to log in.
If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and only contact Apple's official support channels for verification. Dear readers, please watch more videos : The "borrowing face" trick of the gambling and money laundering ring worth thousands of billions of dong | VTV24
