The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need to promptly handle and overcome landslides on river banks and coastlines in some localities in the Mekong Delta region.   Due to the impact of natural disasters and climate change, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property is necessary and urgent.

On the basis of the Ministry of Planning and Investment affirming that the proposed list of projects has met the provisions of the State Budget Law, the Law on Public Investment and other relevant legal provisions and the direction of the Prime Minister, taking full responsibility for the contents and data of the proposed report; representatives of the ministries attending the meeting all agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the list and level of capital to support localities in implementing projects to prevent and combat riverbank and coastal erosion in localities in the Mekong Delta region.   From the central budget reserve in 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai requested the Government Office and the Ministry of Planning and Investment to complete the dossier to submit to the Prime Minister on October 6 to arrange capital to support localities...
