Through specific actions, Mr. Sung A To has promoted his role as a prestigious person in the community.
According to many local people, in the past, the life of the Mong people in Cha Day hamlet was extremely difficult. Mr. Sung A To encouraged people to boldly invest in economic development according to the policies and support of the Party and the State. Listening to him, many households changed their thinking, boldly planted forests, planted tea, and tried clean vegetables... Gradually, production efficiency was improved, life improved, the poverty rate decreased... Currently, the whole hamlet has 11 poor households. The changes in the hamlet have an important contribution from Mr. Sung A To. Although he is 83 years old, he is still enthusiastic about propaganda and mobilization work, thereby promoting the role of NCUT in the community. His actions and words are always trusted and followed by the people.
Like Mr. Sung A To, Ms. Bui Thi Minh in Chieng hamlet, Vinh Dong commune (Kim Boi) has promoted the role of NCUT by always upholding the spirit of being a role model and taking the lead in all local activities. With her prestige and persuasive voice, Ms. Minh has joined the Party Committee and the government in mobilizing people to comply with and strictly implement the policies of the Party and the State, and unite to build a cultural life in residential areas. In particular, in the implementation of the project to build a regional connecting road, she has contributed her voice to the local government in mobilizing people to support the project and carry out compensation and site clearance.
These are two typical examples of the NCUT team living in the province. According to statistics, the whole province currently has 1,282 NCUT in ethnic minority areas. Of which, there are 1,167 men (accounting for 91%), 115 women (accounting for 9%). NCUT are Muong ethnic group 1,027 people; Thai ethnic group 68 people; Tay ethnic group 50 people; Dao ethnic group 50 people; Mong ethnic group 16 people... In recent years, NCUT in ethnic minorities in the whole province have performed well the role of "bridge" contributing to bringing policies, laws into life, at the same time mobilizing people to fulfill their civic responsibilities. They have promoted their responsibility and prestige well, worthy of being the "nucleus" of solidarity in residential communities, leading by example and actively encouraging people to carry out movements and activities at the grassroots level. Many NCUTs have promoted and mobilized people to donate land to build projects. Typically, Mr. Ban Sinh Luong in residential group 9, Thong Nhat ward ( Hoa Binh city) mobilized households to donate 1,117 m² of land to build a cultural house and 664.2 m² for roads; Mr. Bui Duc Thuong in Mo Doi area, Bo town (Kim Boi) mobilized 8 households to donate residential land, 40 households to donate agricultural land to expand rural roads; Mr. Trieu Van Tam in Bo Liem hamlet, Dong Tan commune (Mai Chau) actively promoted and mobilized 62 households to donate 6,175 m² of land to build roads and ditches; Mr. Nguyen Van Huu in residential group 9, Ky Son ward (Hoa Binh city) mobilized 10 households to donate 2,450 m² of land to build internal roads, cultural houses, mobilized people to participate in building a model of house renovation, building a road with blooming trees; Mr. Hoang Van Tinh in Trai Hoa hamlet, Cao Son commune (Luong Son) mobilized 19 households to donate 600 m² of rice fields, 200 m² of garden land, 80 m of surrounding walls to expand the traffic route; mobilized families to contribute cash to build surrounding walls, dig roads...
According to the Provincial Ethnic Committee, the NCUT team in the ethnic minority areas has actively contributed to the emulation movement in the locality. They play the role of a "bridge" between the Party, the government and the people. At the same time, they are also the nucleus of the national solidarity bloc, always taking the lead and mobilizing people to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, contributing to stabilizing political security, social order and safety in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the province.
