"However, this incident is said to have been shady during the negotiation process. The STF, headed by judge Gabriel Zefeiro, on May 16, found Mr. Ednaldo Rodrigues guilty of fraud when questioning the appearance of coach Ancelotti.

"Thereby, the court ruled once again to dismiss him from the position of CBF President with immediate effect and without appeal. CBF Vice President Fernando Sarney, at the request of the court, will temporarily assume the position of interim president until a new election is established, expected to be held as early as mid-June," Marca said.

"Based on the above, I order: 1- to dismiss the current executive board of the CBF; 2- to call the elections for the executive positions of the CBF, as interim, as soon as possible, in compliance with the legal deadlines, and that he assumes responsibility until the new elected executive board takes office, for the powers inherent in the management of the organization, as established in article 7 of the Organization's Statutes," Marca quoted a document from the STF when announcing the decision to dismiss Mr. Ednaldo Rodrigues and his colleagues in the current CBF executive board.

Meanwhile, Ednaldo Rodrigues is attending the FIFA and South American Confederation (CONMEBOL) General Assembly meeting in Paraguay with CBF officials. He explained: "We had to announce the decision to appoint coach Ancelotti early (May 12), because there was a leak. This was completed about 20 days ago (negotiations to invite coach Ancelotti). However, we want to speed up the process because we do not want Ancelotti to work for the Brazilian team after the Club World Cup, that will not work. The CBF will not wait for him to come after July."

According to O Globo channel (Brazil), in the face of the dismissal of CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues, there is news that coach Ancelotti still wants to lead the Brazilian team as planned on May 26 and will officially sign the contract.

"However, this is not certain, the situation could change again, after Real Madrid President Florentino Perez announced his willingness to keep coach Ancelotti for a new role at the team," according to Marca .
