18-year-old new Party member Dam Ngoc Nhi boasts an impressive academic record.

In the 2023-2024 school year, I won first prize in the city-level excellent student competition, third prize in the national-level excellent student competition in history, first prize in the Science and Technology competition for high school students at the Cau Giay - Thanh Xuan cluster level, third prize in the city-level Science and Technology competition, and a certificate of merit for being a "Three Good Student" from Hanoi city.

In extracurricular activities, Dam Ngoc Nhi is also a prominent figure. Nhi is the president and head of the professional committee of the HAO's Sports Dance Club for the 2022-2023 term, and the head of content for the Leaders Of The Future club for the 2022-2023 term.

Notably, this young female Party member also possesses talent in singing and dancing. In the 2022-2023 school year, Dam Ngoc Nhi won second prize in the "Melodies of Youth" competition at the Thanh Xuan - Cau Giay district level. She has also won several medals in dancesport and aerobics at the national level.

In the 15th season of the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students' talent competition (Ams' Got Talent), Nhi won the Special Prize along with the members of the Ams Cheer Club.

Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Dam Ngoc Nhi said that her journey to becoming a Party member was supported by her entire family. "My family is a family of Party members," Dam Ngoc Nhi said.

Nhi's maternal grandfather recently celebrated 70 years of Party membership. Therefore, Nhi's admission to the Party at the age of 18 is a source of pride and a continuation of the family tradition. In the Party awareness training course before her admission, Dam Ngoc Nhi achieved an excellent grade.

Nhi had planned to become a Party member from an early age. Studying history also helped her clearly define the criteria and responsibilities of a Party member. Nhi affirms that her Gen Z generation is not detached from the past, indifferent to revolutionary traditions, or lacking in patriotism.

"We have always longed to contribute our efforts to the country and help the community and the people," Nhi shared.

Dam Ngoc Nhi plans to pursue a degree in communications at the university level. Nhi has decided to study at a domestic university before seeking scholarships to pursue higher education abroad. The new Party member aspires to become a journalist.

Nhi is confident that her extensive social knowledge, acquired during years of studying history, will be beneficial to her future career.

"History not only helps me understand people, the world we live in, and my own origins, but it also helps me develop logical thinking and cause-and-effect reasoning to analyze life's problems. I am grateful to my teachers for teaching me these things, which have allowed me to grow into the person I am today," Nhi expressed.

Dam Ngoc Nhi is the 12th outstanding student to be admitted to the Party Committee of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students since 2022.
