The 37th National Cycling Race for the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup - 2025 with the theme "The Country and Rivers Together" HTV - Ton Dong A continued to bring surprises in stage 18 taking place on the morning of April 22, in the center of Da Lat City.
Although only 51 km long and taking place around the poetic Xuan Huong Lake, the race was not easy when the foreign players decided to "fire" very early. Famous names such as Loic Desriac (Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap), Samuel Jenner (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long), Savva Novikov (Binh Minh Plastics Binh Duong ), Ethan Batt (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai) all accelerated, creating a fierce attack.
Not only foreign players, the leading group also has the participation of famous racers such as Mikhail Fokin - the racer holding the yellow jersey (Loc Troi An Giang Group), Nguyen Van Duong, Phan Hoang Thai, and Vo Minh Gia Bao, forming a top group of 8 speedy people.

Meanwhile, the two HCM City teams - Vinama and New Group - had no representatives in the leading group, forcing them to use all their strength to pull the large group to shorten the gap. However, maintaining a speed of more than 50 km/h made this effort hopeless.
In the final meters, Savva Novikov sprinted like "forged steel" to surpass Ethan Batt, winning the stage in a well-deserved manner. Ethan Batt finished second, while Nguyen Van Duong promptly rose to third.
One of the most touching images of the race was the fall of Vo Minh Gia Bao while competing in the sprint. Despite being scratched and in pain, the racer from Military Zone 7 still pushed his bike to the finish line amid loud cheers - a testament to his resilient fighting spirit.
With a good performance in this stage, Samuel Jenner officially took the third place in the overall individual rankings after 18 stages, pushing Johnny Hoogerland (HCMC Vinama) down to fourth place. After 18 stages, the Yellow Jersey still belongs to Mikhail Fokin (Loc Troi An Giang Group).
Off the track, the main sponsor Ton Dong A continued to spread humane values. Ms. Tran Thi Lien - President of Hotel Colline Da Lat awarded scholarships worth 20 million VND to poor students who overcame difficulties. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quynh - member of the Board of Directors of Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company, along with partners, cheering on the racers.
After stage 18, the racing team moved to Phan Thiet ( Binh Thuan ) to rest on April 23. The battle will continue with stage 19, 176.5 km long from Phan Thiet to Vung Tau City - which is predicted to be a fierce race on the journey to conquer the final yellow jersey.
