Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nephew of the late US President John F. Kennedy, criticized the CIA for the assassination of his uncle, but did not give further details.
"There is a lot of evidence that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in my uncle's assassination. I think there is no doubt about it at this point," Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 69, nephew of the late US President John F. Kennedy, said in Dallas, Texas, on May 7.
Mr. Kennedy Jr. referred to the book JFK and the Unspeakable by James Douglas, which compiled evidence supporting the theory that the US government was involved in the assassination of the 35th president.
The CIA has not responded to Kennedy Jr.'s statement, but the agency has rejected his hypothesis, calling it a lie.

In December 2022, the US government released 13,000 classified documents related to the investigation into the 1963 assassination of former President Kennedy. This is the second declassification during President Joe Biden's term regarding the assassination investigation.
The White House boss asked the National Archives and other government agencies to complete their assessment of the remaining documents by May 2023.
The assassination of former US President Kennedy still has many big questions such as whether the perpetrator Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone or was there an organization behind it, leading to many hypotheses about the assassination.
Mr. Kennedy Jr. is the son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, the younger brother of the late US President John F. Kennedy. He has announced his candidacy for the US presidency in 2024 as a Democratic candidate.
