According to the report of Khanh Hoa Provincial Statistics Office, the consumer price index (CPI) in September increased by 0.48% compared to the previous month. The average CPI in the first 9 months increased by 3.62% compared to the same period last year.

Of the 11 main groups of goods and services, 8 groups had price indexes increasing, including: Food and catering services increased by 0.51%; beverages and tobacco increased by 0.12%; clothing, hats, footwear increased by 0.03%; housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials increased by 0.53%; transportation increased by 1.75%;education increased by 0.58%; culture, entertainment and tourism services increased by 0.03%; other goods and services increased by 0.1%. The groups of goods and services of medicine, medical services; post and telecommunications were stable. The group of goods and household appliances decreased by 0.03%.

CPI in September increased mainly due to the increase in kerosene and gas prices, which affected the increase in gas and fuel prices; gasoline prices were adjusted up twice by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade; rice prices increased sharply due to increased export demand, which affected the price index of the food group...
