The 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (Vietnam STEM AI Robotics - VSAR) for high school students with the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development".

At the press conference announcing information about the competition this afternoon, there were concerns that the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR) had the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development" which seemed unrelated.

Mr. Le Hai Long, Head of the Central Youth Union's Youth Work Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers presented trees to the guest delegates.

Responding to this issue, Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and Head of the Contest Organizing Committee, said that the environment is no longer a Vietnamese problem but a global problem.

Every day, when we go out on the street, we can see a lot of smoke and dust, polluting the living environment. On the other hand, Vietnam's economy is based on agriculture and the majority of students come from rural areas. Therefore, the competition must not only have a far-fetched scientific meaning but must be closely linked to practical, familiar issues that students can easily apply.

After the contest, those who have the ability will have to study hard to become scientists in the future. But first of all, the contest can instill in them a love for work, love for their homeland, family, and country.

“In fact, there are scientists who started out as farmers who have researched robots and drones that can sow seeds and fertilize. Who knows, this competition will bring out some great talents and inventions. In addition, the Organizing Committee of the competition also hopes that through this, it will nurture the scientific dreams of students,” said the Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper.

VSAR 2024 is one of the activities responding to the National STEM Festival, organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, Central Council of Young Pioneers; Hoa Hoc Tro website under Tien Phong Newspaper, Tien Phong Joint Stock Company and Youth Union of the Ministry of Science & Technology in coordination.

The competition will include many challenging rounds, suitable for each age and level of students. At this playground, teams will not only compete for titles but also have the opportunity to be selected to participate in international competitions on STEM, AI, Robotics, contributing to improving the position of Vietnamese students on the global map of science and technology education.

National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR) but with the theme "Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development"

The National Championship of STEM, AI and Robotics (VSAR) with the theme “Green Agriculture - Sustainable Development” will be a playground for teams to demonstrate their robot design and programming skills through the Seed Sowing challenge. Teams will have to build a robot capable of performing operations such as picking up seeds, moving and sowing seeds into specified cells.

This is a practical challenge to help students understand the application of robots in improving agricultural production processes and developing environmentally friendly agricultural models.

In addition, IYRC Vietnam 2024 also has the theme "Green Energy", the tournament will include many different competitions such as robot soccer, robots running on renewable energy and robot model creation.

Through this tournament, students will have access to and apply advanced technologies, while raising awareness of environmental protection and clean energy use.

The National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship is also an activity responding to the "Green Dream" program, with the hope of the community joining hands to protect the environment, expressing the message of aspiration for a green Vietnam.

To start the journey of realizing the aspiration of "Green Dream", right at the press conference, the Organizing Committee presented gifts of green trees to delegates, guests, sponsors, teachers and students.
