Proactively respond to heavy rain in the Northern region

Pursuant to Document No. 2254 dated May 20, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control requests the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of departments, branches and sectors; Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of districts and cities; and Irrigation One Member Limited Liability Companies to closely monitor weather forecasts and natural disaster warnings to promptly and regularly notify and guide authorities at all levels and people to proactively prevent and minimize damage caused by heavy rain; prepare on-site forces to promptly support people in overcoming consequences (if any).

Direct the grassroots disaster prevention and control force to inspect and review riverside areas, streams, low-lying areas at high risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides to proactively clear the flow, organize the evacuation of people when situations arise. Prepare forces to control and guide traffic, especially through culverts, spillways, and deeply flooded areas, ensuring smooth traffic on main traffic routes.

Prepare drainage plans to protect production and prevent flooding in industrial parks, urban areas, hospitals, and residential areas.

Vinh Phuc Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station and press agencies in the province increase information about heavy rain developments to authorities at all levels, businesses and people.

The Provincial Hydrometeorological Station closely monitors, forecasts, warns, and promptly informs the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and the media about developments of heavy rain to inform local authorities and people to proactively deploy response measures.
