Thanks to the search forces, the ship saved the lives of 3 people.
On the morning of November 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Huy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone, visited the Military-Civilian Medical Center of Ly Son Special Zone to visit and present certificates of merit to Mr. Phan Duy Quang (47 years old) and Mr. Le Van Sanh (37 years old), two fishermen who bravely rowed a boat out to sea to save people.
Mr. Huy admired the brave actions of the two people who swam into the rough waves to save people and encouraged them to recover soon and return home.
"The locality will continue to propose and recommend higher authorities to reward your achievements," Mr. Huy said.
According to Mr. Huy, saving people in dangerous weather conditions but Mr. Quang and Sanh still rowed a boat to the rescue, this is a brave act.

Mr. Huy awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Quang.
Mr. Huy said that he had followed the entire situation from the time Mr. Sanh and Quang swam out to save people until they were drifted far out to sea in the big waves and storm. The local authorities as well as the functional forces actively searched for the three people. At first, they could not find them, everyone was very sad, but still hopeful.
When we heard that the cargo ship had saved Mr. Quang, we had faith that the other two would be found. The government directed rescue forces to do their best to search and save all of them.
"When we found Mr. Sanh, we were overwhelmed with emotion. For more than 48 hours drifting at sea, the fact that they were able to survive is a miracle. It is a joy not only for the government but also for all the people of Ly Son," Mr. Huy confided.
According to Mr. Huy, to create this miracle, there were contributions from many forces such as the Ministry of National Defense , Division 372 (Air Defense - Air Force), the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the functional agencies of the port and border guards in the search and rescue work.
Special thanks to the Hainan 39 ship and the Quang Tri fishing boat that rescued the people. "On behalf of the government, I would like to thank everyone," said Mr. Huy.

Searching for 3 people at sea for hours
In addition to the two people receiving certificates of merit, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Son Special Zone also awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Le Thanh Hung, ship owner and deputy captain of the Anh Vinh Express ship, for his achievements in rescue and relief.
After the three people went missing, the ships in Ly Son searched for many hours, including the Anh Vinh Express and the Hoa Binh high-speed ship.
Le Thanh Hung, deputy captain of the Anh Vinh Express, recounted that after all three people went missing on the evening of November 6, he and his crew set out to search. The ship spent many hours searching at sea.
On the morning of November 8, when hearing the news that the cargo ship Hainan 39 had rescued Mr. Quang, his ship ran out of fuel and had to return to shore to refuel, then hurried back out to sea to pick up Mr. Quang at 12:15 p.m. the same day.

Mr. Le Thanh Hung, owner of Anh Vinh Express ship, was awarded a certificate of merit for his achievements in rescue and relief.
Then Mr. Hung's ship continued to search for the remaining two people. Mr. Quang, despite being exhausted from drifting at sea, still stayed on the ship and did not return to shore to look for his brother, Mr. Sanh.
After several hours of searching, at 4:10 p.m. the same day, Mr. Hung's ship found Mr. Sanh at sea, more than 60 nautical miles from Ly Son.
"On the first day of searching, we couldn't find them. We didn't think they were still alive because of the big waves, strong winds, and storms. When we heard that the Hainan 39 ship had rescued Mr. Quang, I hoped that the other two would still be alive, so I actively searched and found Mr. Sanh. It's a miracle that the three of them survived," said Mr. Hung.
At around 3pm on November 6, Mr. Duong Quang Cuong (44 years old) went to Tay An Vinh wharf area (Ly Son special zone) and jumped into the sea. Seeing that, Mr. Quang and Mr. Sanh rowed a boat to rescue him. When they rescued Mr. Cuong, the waves were very strong, the boat was drifted far from shore and disappeared.
Immediately, authorities mobilized boats and helicopters to search, but all three were still missing.
