PRESIDENT VO VAN THUONG AND PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN TRY TO MAKE CHU DAU POTTERY

On the morning of August 22, President Vo Van Thuong and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company in Hai Duong province.

This is one of the activities during the official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Vietnam from August 20-22.

The two leaders watched artisans paint on Chu Dau pottery.

Chu Dau pottery flourished from the 14th to the 17th century. After more than 3 centuries of disappearance, Chu Dau pottery has now revived and become a valuable export product. The revival of the pottery village also creates great potential for developing craft village tourism for the locality.
