This is part of the Homeland Spring 2024 program organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Ministry of Foreign Affairs in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for overseas Vietnamese around the world.

Previously, President Vo Van Thuong and his wife, along with a delegation of overseas Vietnamese, offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (District 4).

After the President and his wife performed the traditional carp releasing ceremony at Nha Rong Wharf, the delegation offered flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park (on Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1).

During the sacred moment, the delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, expressing their infinite gratitude and sincere respect for his great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building a peaceful, independent, unified, increasingly prosperous and developed socialist Vietnam.

The program "Spring Homeland 2024" is co-organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, taking place on February 1 and 2 (ie December 22 and 23) in Ho Chi Minh City. The program brings together about 1,500 overseas Vietnamese from all over the world to return to Vietnam to celebrate the traditional New Year.
