On the morning of March 17, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee on a number of contents related to the project on the direction of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies.

At the same time, it is the progress of work to serve the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution.

Speaking here, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that at this meeting, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee will give opinions on a number of contents to serve the streamlining of the apparatus to submit to competent authorities.

In that spirit, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee will discuss the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies.

Emphasize that the apparatus streamlining revolution is entering the second phase, preparing to reorganize the commune-level apparatus; after amending the new Constitution, consider removing the district level and reorganizing the provincial level.

Therefore, the National Assembly Chairman requested that each agency and unit must lead and direct the strengthening of political and ideological work among cadres, party members, and people, working closely from the central to local levels to unify both awareness and action in implementing the Party's policies for the country's development.

He suggested that for all contents submitted to competent authorities by the National Assembly Party Committee and the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly agencies must strengthen close coordination with Government agencies to ensure progress and quality of work according to requirements.
