On the morning of November 6, Tuoi Tre Online recorded direct international exchange activities and online learning exchanges between Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School (Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and primary schools in Singapore; Dongsan Primary School, South Korea.
The international exchange program for grade 4 and 5 students takes place annually at Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School. While grade 4 and 5 students directly exchange with Singaporean students about the culture, history of the two countries, school history and participate in folk games; with Dongsan Primary School, Korea will have lessons associated with specific projects.
As for Dongsan Elementary School, Korea, this international exchange program has lasted for 2 years; the schedule will have 2 online classes every month, the schedule and learning content have been sent in advance from the beginning of the year; on the right day and time, students from both sides connect together.
The new point in this year's exchange, according to Master Tran Be Hong Hanh - Principal of the school, is not only about cultural exchange and learning about folk games, but also about depth and long-term.
"After today, students from both countries will continue to connect with each other through projects such as environmental protection projects, using recycled waste; green projects... Our students will also go back and forth to schools in Singapore and Korea; helping them to be confident, to communicate and connect through practical projects, not just stop at normal communication," said Ms. Hanh.
Ms. Hanh also added that because the school is determined to be an advanced integrated school model, exchanges with developed countries are regular activities of the school, to connect the cultures of the two countries, the history of the state, and learning; helping students become more confident.
Excited about the "international" class, Trinh Thi Thanh, a 4th grade student, shared: "I am very excited to interact and study with international friends because the class is new, I can comfortably share and have the opportunity to use English fluently. Korean students have many good and unique ideas when discussing climate change, I absorb and save them to enrich my knowledge."
