On the afternoon of May 7, the collective leadership of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to evaluate the implementation of socio -economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in April, and directions and tasks for May 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that according to the roadmap, district-level activities will end in July 2025; the province will be merged in September 2025.

There is not much time left, there are things that need to be focused, determined, and resolutely implemented, in which, focusing on disbursing public investment capital.

Currently, new investment disbursement has reached 11.57% of the total 4,098 billion VND planned for 2025. Meanwhile, everything is quite favorable this year.

"The bauxite problem is almost resolved, the weather is favorable. Objectively, there is no problem, so what is the subjective reason?", Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi asked.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi hopes that localities and investors will speak directly about the problem, why investment disbursement is still slow. Are there any difficulties under the province's authority that have not been resolved?

"If any locality does not speak up, it is considered to have no problem. If there is no problem and anyone fails to complete their tasks, there will be a way to handle it," affirmed Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that units and localities must look straight and look at the problem. In reality, there is no mentality of relying on others, waiting to be merged into a province and then calculating. Now, whoever is in any position must fulfill their responsibilities and roles in that position.

Any current work that is still pending or where there is debt must be done immediately. Units and localities must work out each specific task. Avoid the mindset of waiting and relying on the merger. Because if not done, when the merger comes, it will be a long story.

According to the assessment, in April 2025, Dak Nong's socio-economic situation remained stable. GRDP growth rate was higher than the growth scenario set by the Provincial People's Committee.

The fields of industrial production, agriculture , service activities, and tourism have changed positively. Component 2 of the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) Expressway Project has started construction. This is the basis to promote economic growth in the coming time.

The work of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-level local government model has been vigorously implemented, ensuring progress and regulations of the Central Government. National defense, security and social order and safety are stable.

However, the problems in mechanisms and policies when implementing key projects and works within and outside the budget have not been completely resolved.

Disbursement of public investment and attraction of non-budgetary investment in 2025 continue to face difficulties. Wind power projects are yet to be operational and generate commercial electricity.

Dak Nong 's total state budget revenue in the first 4 months of the year was 1,487 billion VND, reaching 52% of the central budget estimate, reaching 44% of the local budget estimate, up 43% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourism activities in the first 4 months of the year is estimated at 89,090 million VND, up 0.1% over the same period in 2024. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached 9,205 billion VND , up 9.7% over the same period in 2024 .
