Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee as Head of Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Decision on the establishment of the Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Lam Dong province (referred to as the Provincial Steering Committee 389).

According to the decision, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi is the Head of the Committee.

Lam Dong Provincial Steering Committee 389 is responsible for advising the Provincial People's Committee in directing the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area.

The Steering Committee consists of Mr. Nguyen Ba Ut, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade (Standing member of the Steering Committee), Deputy Heads and Members who are leaders of departments, branches, sectors and key functional forces of the province.

The Provincial Steering Committee 389 is responsible for developing and organizing the implementation of a plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; directing coordination between agencies and functional forces in inspecting, detecting and handling violations; periodically reviewing and summarizing, promptly rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, and strictly handling violations or covering up violations.

The Steering Committee will also organize inter-sectoral inspection teams for key areas and sectors; request agencies and units to provide information, report on the situation and results of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods when necessary; at the same time, coordinate with press agencies in propaganda work.

In addition, the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones will establish grassroots Steering Committees, headed by the Chairman of the People's Committee at the same level, to ensure synchronous and unified implementation from the province to the grassroots level.

The establishment of Steering Committee 389 of Lam Dong province aims to strengthen the prevention and control of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the province, contributing to protecting consumer rights, stabilizing the market and improving the effectiveness of state management in trade activities.
