448271_logo_15430626.jpg (200×57)  - On the afternoon of April 24, comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and the Embassy of Thailand in Vietnam led by Mr. Napintorn Srisunpang, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand.

The delegation included Ms. Nikordej Balankura, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam. Also attending the meeting were leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches of Lang Son province.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee thanked the attention of the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand and the Thai Ambassador to Vietnam. At the same time, he affirmed that Vietnam and Thailand have established a strategic partnership since 2013, the relationship between the two countries has been constantly strengthened and developed in all fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries and actively contributing to peace, stability, and cooperation in the region and the world .

Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee discussed some contents at the working session.

The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee also briefly informed about the import and export situation of goods through the province's border gates, especially the import and export activities through Huu Nghi International Border Gate.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: In 2023, after the working session between the leaders of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and the Embassy of Thailand in Vietnam, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee directed relevant agencies of the province to coordinate with relevant agencies of Thailand to grasp and update information and the situation of transporting Thai fruits exported to China through the province's border gates as well as Vietnamese fruits exported to Thailand. In particular, the province always pays attention to handling arising issues to create maximum convenience for Thai fruits to transit and be exported to China through the province's border gates as proposed at the working session of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.

In 2023, the total number of vehicles (wagons/containers) carrying Thai fruit exported through Lang Son province's border gates will be 19,702 vehicles, with a total weight of 378,620 tons.


The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee stated: Lang Son Province has been and is continuing to focus resources on investing and developing infrastructure at border gates. At the same time, synchronously implementing solutions to promote import and export of goods, including Thai goods through the province's border gates.

Mr. Napintorn Srisunpang, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand, discussed some contents related to the export of Thai fruits to China through the border gate of Lang Son province.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand expressed his deep gratitude for the warm and friendly reception of the leaders of Lang Son province for the delegation. At the same time, he highly appreciated the socio -economic development of the province in recent years, as well as the potential and advantages of Lang Son province such as border gate economy and trade.

Mr. Napintorn Srisunpang emphasized: During this working trip to Lang Son province, the delegation of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam hopes to continue to promote closer cooperation with Lang Son province; learn about border trade activities, import and export activities of Thai goods, especially the export of Thai durian to China through Lang Son province's border gates.

Through the discussion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province and the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand agreed to continue to connect, exchange, promote trade cooperation, and facilitate the export of fresh fruits from Thailand to China through the border gate of Lang Son province. At the same time, in the coming time, cooperation and investment in industrial development, especially the processing industry of agricultural products, fruits and logistics in Lang Son province, will be promoted.
