On January 20, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An province - Nguyen Van Ut visited and wished a happy new year to units directly performing tasks on the border line in Duc Hue district.
Also attending were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - Nguyen Thanh Vung; Director of the Department of Finance - Pham Van Do.
The units that Mr. Nguyen Van Ut wished a happy new year include: My Quy Tay Border Guard Station, My Thanh Tay Border Guard Station, Duc Hue District Infantry Company, Duc Hoa District Engineering Company, Radar Station 48/f367 (Duc Hoa District), My Quy Tay Customs Branch, Market Management Team No. 1, Observation Station 20K71 (Duc Hue District).
At the places visited, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut wished a healthy and happy new year to all officers and soldiers of the units. At the same time, he acknowledged and praised the achievements that the units have achieved in the past time. From there, he requested that the units continue to promote their traditions and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut requested that units and forces uphold their responsibility, solidarity, and coordinate closely with each other in performing their tasks; build a relationship of solidarity and closeness between officers and soldiers with the authorities and people on both sides of the border, creating all favorable conditions for people on both sides to travel, trade, and develop the economy. In addition, leaders of units pay attention to the material and spiritual life, ensuring the regime for officers and soldiers, especially during the coming New Year and Spring.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut informed about some outstanding results of the province in 2024. Accordingly, with the determination and efforts to overcome difficulties of the entire political system, the socio-economic situation of the province continued to have stable development. 21/21 socio-economic development targets were achieved and exceeded; economic growth reached 8.3%; state budget revenue reached more than 26,000 billion VND.
“The results achieved demonstrate the great efforts and contributions of all sectors and levels in the province. In particular, there is a significant contribution from the armed forces and other forces on the border line,” Mr. Nguyen Van Ut emphasized.
On behalf of the units, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Trung - Head of My Quy Tay Border Guard Station , thanked the attention of the Party Committees and authorities of Long An province for the officers and soldiers of the units; at the same time, informed about some results in performing the tasks of the unit.
Thereby, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Trung affirmed that in 2025, the units stationed on the border will always unite with the highest spirit and responsibility, determined to carry out and excellently complete all assigned tasks. In particular, it is to carry out the dual task of both managing and firmly protecting border sovereignty , while ensuring security and order in the area./.
